PART III: Early Childhood
Dr. Kuther's Chalk Talks: Part III
Questions to Consider:
- What do children begin to learn in their interactions with their peers in early childhood? What do children begin to develop around age 4 that is thought to help in their social interactions? Why is this development important to social interactions?
- How might a young child explain himself or herself to an adult? Why do self-evaluations at this age tend to be unrealistic?
- Give two specific examples of either physical, cognitive, or socioemotional developments that most children experience in early childhood.
