  • Read the guidelines for submitting research proposals.
  • Read sample proposals, consent forms, etc.
  • What consistencies do you notice between your university’s IRB requirements and your textbook?
  • Are there inconsistencies?

  • Select one of the experiments.
  • Read about the experiment.
  • What was unethical about the experiment?
  • If it were proposed to an institutional review board today, would it be approved? Why or why not?
