Web Exercise #1:  Anti-Bullying Statutes

1. Visit the National School Board Association at: http://www.nsba.org/anti-bullying-statutes-state
2. Click the link to download the PDF titled “”Anti-Bullying Statutes by State.”
3. Compare your state’s, and other states’, anti-bullying statutes.  Which states’ statutes specifically address cyber issues?  How long have their statutes been in place?  Which states appear to have the most advanced policies in place?  Consider changes you would like to see in your state’s statutes and draft an outline of a proposal to address the needs you have identified.

Web Exercise #2:  Cyberbullying

1. Visit the Cyberbullying Research Center at: http://www.cyberbullying.us/
2. Click on the Resources link at the top of the page and select “Educators” from the drop-down menu.
3. Peruse the site to explore the teaching materials related to cyberbullying.  Select one of the resources related to cyberbullying such as activities, lesson plans, curriculum units, fact sheets, etc. 
4. Make a list of the ideas that you have gained and how you can implement them in your future classroom.
