Discussion Questions

  1. Instructors often encourage their students to engage in classroom activities and discussions. Sometimes an instructor’s syllabus will outline what is or is not considered to be appropriate ways to engage in the classroom.  Nonetheless, students often do not get an opportunity to discuss alternative modes of engagement. If you had the opportunity to offer your instructor ideas on alternative ways to engage with peers, course concepts, and/or the subject matter, what would you suggest? Also, what may be the best way to begin this dialogue with your instructor?
