Discussion Questions
Discussion Question #1:
Discuss how you will formulate your action plan. How will you organize the steps you will take to complete this process? Will you use the “Steps to Action Chart”, adapt this chart, or make one of your own?
Discussion Question #2:
What type of action plan will you write, informal or formal? Why is this necessary? Who will your audience most likely be? How might an informal plan be changed into a formal plan, or vice versa?
Discussion Question #3:
Identify the level of action plan you will write. What are the benefits of your plan? What are the drawbacks of your plan? What changes within your classroom, school, or district are necessary based on your plan?
Discussion Question #4:
Develop an action plan that intentionally incorporates time for you to reflect on your action research.
What questions will you ask/answer to provide a stronger foundation of knowledge for your next cycle of action research?
Discussion Question #5:
Describe how you will conduct a retrospective examination of your individual action research. What will you do if your findings are not what you expected? What changes are you willing to make in your classroom? Who might be affected by these changes?
