Description: Moriniere studies two possible explanations for increases in urbanization as related to the environment: mobility causing environmental degradation or environmental degradation causing mobility.  By classifying research articles in one of these two explanations the author provides the greater explanation and  possible solution.

Description: Bell and Braun examined the gender differences in the participation in environmental activism in Appalachia.  They examine both men’s and women’s motivation for participation and compare the differences.
