Gapminder World 2012
Mapping the Wealth and Health of Nations
The Interactive Gapminder map, found here, was created by Hans Rosling, a Swedish medical doctor, statistician, and public scholar. It shows two global trends discussed in this text. On one hand, globalization has helped make many societies richer and healthier in recent decades. But today, there also remains a significant gap between the wealthy nations of the Global North and the poorer nations of the Global South.
