Athletes are interviewed about their views on Title IX, and we hear how surprised some of the high school students are with how long it took Title IX took to pass. The athletes talk about their feelings of lack of support for “girls” sports when compared to “boys” sports.

The small Maine town of Lewiston has become home to more than 5,000 Somali refugees. Migrating to leave war and civil unrest in Somalia, the refugees seek a new start in the United States. While locals were unsure of the Somalis’ arrival—fearing the immigrants would not fit in and require welfare assistance—migrants found employment or started businesses. Today, the Somalis play a major role in the revitalization of Lewiston.
