Arastoo walked into his college dormitory and was immediately approached by campus security. Security asked for Arastoo’s backpack and immediately started searching the contents. Security said they had a right to search since the dormitory was university property. As a student of criminal law and procedure, Arastoo quoted the U.S. Supreme Court and said to security, “The Fourth Amendment protects . . .”
