This mighty tome was released at the American Psychiatric Association’s Annual Meeting in May 2013, and it constituted the end of more than ten years of working and planning to revise the criteria for the diagnosis and classification of mental disorders. 2. International Classification of Diseases (ICD) 10

The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is another standard diagnostic tool for all things clinical. The ICD 10 includes analyses of the general health of the population, and can be used to monitor the incidence and prevalence of illnesses (and other health problems), proving a picture of the general health situation across the world.
